The “Shifting Canyon” residential project features two primary structures linked by an elevated Commercial Zone. This zone integrates community spaces and shops, creating a vibrant, accessible area between the buildings. Each floor is connected by bridges, ensuring fluid movement throughout the complex. The vertically oriented base area houses commercial spaces of varying sizes, oriented towards this central zone.
Inspired by the Schindler House, the penthouse level comprises eight ateliers arranged in a windmill-like layout, promoting privacy while facilitating social interaction. This communal space is designed for events and exhibitions, with each atelier featuring a private sleeping nook.
The apartments in “Shifting Canyon” span the building’s width, with uniform unit widths. Type C, the smallest at 60m², and Types A and B, which are maisonettes with double-height living areas and galleries, offer varied living experiences. Units are accessed from one side and include private outdoor areas—either loggias or balconies—on the opposite side. The staggered arrangement of the units enhances privacy, allowing residents to enjoy their outdoor spaces in tranquility.
