The project “Durch die Hecke” reimagines Stefan-Weber-Park, a narrow green strip bordered by the Gaudenzdorfer and Margareten Gürtel roads, which currently make the area unattractive due to noise and visibility from the streets. The goal is to transform this space into an active, multi-dimensional park that serves the local community. The design introduces two structures: an adaptable grid that visually separates the park from the roads while creating vertical and horizontal elements, and organic-shaped buildings that provide flexible, open spaces. These elements not only redefine the park’s landscape but also improve pedestrian connectivity across the Gürtel, turning a barrier into a bridge between neighborhoods. The project enhances the park’s identity and flexibility, making it a dynamic space for various events and activities.
